I am sure there used to be a volume adjustment for the nav guidance when using Android Auto but now it looks like the only options I get in the settings are muted, alerts only, and on. Did something recently change?

 

I find you have to adjust the AA volume when it is actually talking to you. Use the steering wheel controls or the central **** for that. A pain as you need to time it right or you adjust the volume for the radio instead if AA isn't giving you a message. Always been this way for me.

 

BTW, there is an option in Android Auto Maps to test the audio. I can't remember where but it's in the settings somewhere. This plays a test message and allows you to adjust the guidance volume.

 

Exactly right. I remember getting to this by hitting the settings when in navigation mode but I can't get that to happen now. Perhaps the setting has been omitted and you get there by doing what the previous post suggested (i.e., adjusting the volume while the nav is "talking" to you)?
