Annoying sound resolved!
During my first week of ownership 6 months ago, I noticed a sound coming from the passenger side like a window was cracked. It would only happen around 75MPH or above. I took the car back immediately and the Lexus Dealer had their “quality control” person drive the car with me. The QC guy insisted on driving. He takes it on a parkway where you couldn’t really get above 70MPH. Of course he couldn’t reproduce the sound. The car was less than 2 weeks old. I suggested they keep for a few days and figure it out. They said they couldn’t put in a loaner if they couldn’t reproduce the noise. They spoke to me like I was crazy. Frustrating!
I brought it in for my 5k service last week, and I told the service department they had to fix this noise. They bring the QC person in, and this time I demanded to drive on a highway. I was immediately able to reproduce the sound. They gave me a loaner so they could investigate. There was a protective panel over the driver side B Pillar underneath the car with a loose screw. They replaced the screw and washer, and this fixed the issue. I’m glad it’s fixed, but I’m pissed that I drove it 5k miles before it was fixed when they really should have investigated it 6 months ago.

Really glad you solved it! But only after your insistence that you're 'not nuts!'.
Note that the B Pillar is the pillar that travels from the roofline down to the floor pan and houses your drivers seatbelt and it's tether eyelet strap located just above your left shoulder, plus the door latch system and maybe an airbag too. Their's a lot of 'stuff' in there that would need to be carefully attached and positioned. Plus I believe there would be an isolation membrane too that keeps outside weather debris like moisture away from everything. I'm not sure if there would be anything along the under belly but maybe possibly.
