Pair iPhone And Android Phone To Same NX
My wife has a iPhone 15 and she uses Apple Car play all the time and it works great. Her phone is the only phone paired to the vehicle right now.
I have a Galaxy S21 Android phone and I want to pair it to the vehicle so I can use Android auto when she isn't in the car with me.
Once I pair my Android phone, what happens if both of us are in the car at the same time with both of our phones paired to the vehicle. How does the car decide which phone to use?
Can I set up one phone as the primary so it only connects to that phone (her iPhone) if both are available?
Thanks for the help with this.

Not 100% sure, but i think if you set yourselves up properly as 2 users, then the car recognizes who is in the drivers seat and sets up the infotainment accordingly. Don't know if it will work with the 2 types of phones, though. Ours works with 2 Samsung phones, 1 for me and 1 for my Wife.
I personally have 2 phones connected, but both are on my profile. I have a Pixel 9 Pro XL and an iPhone 14 Pro. I have to switch between Car Play and Android Auto in the Bluetooth menu. If you have separate profiles then it should work properly, but the car recognizing the profile could give you issues as well when both of you are in the car.
Her iPhone is the primary device. Add your Android and make sue you do not make it primary, otherwise it’ll overwrite hers.
In an ideal world, it would know who is driving, but ours doesn't always seem to.
You may have to hit the gear icon and choose.
