My question is still outstanding. Anyone who has used the auxiliary cigarette lighter with a USB-C charging device. Are you able to get higher speed than what I’m getting anybody who’s tried it?
@LiBeRtAs , i am not sure what your ultimate goal is but is seems you want charging in your car that is faster. Ask yourself why you need very fast charge on your iPhone? Are you using heavy draw apps while driving ( if navigation, it can cause a lot of usage).
If your phone charges faster than you are using up power, then charging wattage (power) is really not a true issue. Depending on what model of iPhone you have, the newer iPhones can take a faster charging rate; but be careful especially if you are not in green READY mode; on ACC you can drain your 12 volt battery. You also need to review the maximum amperage draw recommended by Lexus on the cigarette adapters and the various USB connector ports. If you frequently or constantly exceed their power (amperage * 12 volts) you could either blow fuses and/or shorten the life of circuit components.
Have you considered other alternatives, such as a powerpack, example :
In your case it might be wise to hire a Technical iPhone Power Consutant and/or find a Lexus Technician willing to spend some time with you to identify and resolve your issue/s.
I came up with another solution. I bought an Apple MagSafe charger and taped it to the car using two-sided 3M tape. This is super secure, the phone does not slide around at all, and it never heats up, and I use CarPlay (e.g. Apple Music) every time I drive, and Apple Maps almost every time I drive.. Here’s a photo.
I would be wary of putting anything metallic on the charging pad…. The User manual specifically advises against doing so.
