Default TPMS and Tire rotation

Do you need to re learn the location of the tire or it updates automatically? let say swapped tires from front to back.

There is a function within the settings on the infotainment screen that initiates the relearn for tire location after a rotation.

Yeah you go to setting to initialize the tire rotation then you drive for a few miles and you will get a notification that it finished.

I rotated my tires two days ago (@ 10,400) , the TPMS display picked up the new tire location pressures by itself. I was impressed.

My experience has been that it takes a while but it will eventually fix itself. If you do the manual reset be prepared that it'll display nothing for a while. It takes a fair amount of driving for it to find the positioning and show the pressures again.

Takes my '22 NX350h about 5-10 miles to max to see rotation and or a complete tire-rim swap from snows to summers. I did use OEM TPMS too on my snows so I could be assured everything would go off without a hitch.
The manual states travelling on roadways that have curves will aid in learning process.

Section 8-5 Registration of the position of each wheel after performing a tire rotation:
....
Step 8
Drive straight (with occasional left and right turns) at approximately 25 mph (40 km/h) or more for approximately 10 to 30 minutes. When wheel position registration is complete, a message indicating that registration has been completed and the inflation pressure of each tire will be displayed on the multi-information display. Even if it is not possible to drive continuously at approximately 25 mph (40 km/h) or more, registration can be completed by driving for a long time. However, if registration does not complete after driving for 1 hour or more, park the vehicle in a safe place and leave it with the power switch in ON for approximately 15 minutes or more, and then perform the driving procedure again.
