Last night, I locked the car through the Lexus (Canada) app on my iPhone. That action is logged on the notifications page in the app. (see attached photo) This morning when I looked the car was unlocked (mirrors unfolded) and the rear hatch was open. There was no item in the notifications log showing the vehicle being unlocked. The key fobs were stored in faraday pouches, so I don't think that this could have been a 'relay attack'. The car was still plugged in and charging.
I have noticed over the last few days that there have been some changes in the Lexus app, including a red dot appearing next to the 'person' icon on the main app screen when a new notification has been logged in the app and as someone else noted the 'Drive Pulse & Trips' removal notification.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this? What about any idea what happened? For example could Lexus have triggered this inadvertently with an OTA update to the app or to 'Remote Connect"?
You should advise the dealership and have them checked. The car would not auto unlock. I can only say is if you walk by your car with the keyfob and your leg is under the kick sensor, it could open the hatch. But you would know that it unlocked and open the hatch.
