Check this thread, discussing the Nav and Drive Connect / Remote Connect subscriptions (from December 2024 into February 2025):
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/nx-...criptions.html

In January, I was e-mailed an extension offer from 3 years to 10 years, for Remote Connect. Yay! My Remote Connect is now free, until 2032. Unfortunately, the freebie extension didn't cover Navigation, and I chose not to pay 15/month for Drive Connect. My Nav reverted to the intro screen. I've been using Android Auto / Google Maps since then.

This offer is available for USA owners. Folks in Canada have not received this offer.

However, if I open the car with the key fob (paired to my profile) in my pocket and have my iPhone with me and then power on, the system always recognizes me and starts Apple CarPlay automatically.

Now, when my wife gets in the car to drive with her key fob (which is not paired to a profile) and iPhone she needs to go to settings, bluetooth and select her iPhone profile and the infotainment screen will start with CarPlay.
I remote start with the Lexus app and when I get to the car sometimes I get the popup, but when I press OK it will connect within 10-15 secs. Only once in a blue moon I need to reboot the system by pressing and holding the power/volume button for a few secs.

My 3 yr anniversary is coming up next month & I've gotten no email. I have the working Lexus app. I haven't used (signed up for?) Remote Connect or Drive Connect. Are these things part of the app? Wonder if I have to use them to get the extension.

Open the Lexus App, Select the Shop icon on the bottom of the screen, select Manage Subscriptions, and that's where you can review all trial and paid subscriptions and find out the cost of continuing subscriptions.

If I understand it correctly, they're looking for $6.00/mo. for Drive Connect. This pays for the data. In the marketplace, a Gig of data does retails for about $6.00, so Lexus isn't gouging you. You have the option to use your cell phone for Navigation. That data isn't free either - if you have unlimited data, well, you're paying for that. So if you don't want an expensive phone bill, you can skip Apple Car Play and Android Auto and go ahead and pay $6.00/mo and have no data charges for the new Lexus cloud Navigation with real-time traffic program, which is excellent.

If you think about it like that, it's not a bad deal.

Was excited to get an email from 'Lexus Interface' today. Thought it was going tell me my 'connect' options were going to be extended. Instead, it said all (except service connect) would end on my 3 yr anniversary.

Thats right, and they give you a la carte options to subscribe to - Drive Connect and/or Remote Connect.

Drive Connect = Maps & Live Agent Destination Assist.
Remote Connect - Use the Lexys App to start your car, locate your car.

Did you know you can remote start your RZ from your key fob and that will work for life?

So, the choice after three years, is pay Lexus for some data or pay your cell phone provider for the data.

the keyfob remote start will continue to work as long as the car still has an active DCM. With Service Connect / Safety Connect I believe DCM will continue to be active.

Google maps can be used without data and only GPS (in driving mode). After the Lexus subscription expiration, will I still be able to project the real-time directions provided by offline Google Maps from my phone to the Lexus display via blue tooth?

I got an email from Lexus today asking if I wanted to extend the digital key, but no other connect products were offered. The digital key (never used) and the crappy Qi charger ($500 factory option for both), were the only add-ons I didn't want, but had to pay for.

The digital key subscription is part of Remote Connect. You sure it's only the digital key?

I got the same offer and the flyer did imply it was JUST for the digital key - at least to my reading. However it actually extended Remote Connect for 10 years from the date it was originally activated on the vehicle. You might want to double check that ad as it’s actually a good deal.

Remote Connect and Digital Key is in one package. I don't think it can be pulled apart. Unfortunately, this offer is only available in USA at this point and I need to pay every month to keep it running in Canada.

I have the extension. Can’t speak to the USA only part, but it’s both remote and digital key.

Great to here that! Like you, my email only offered the digital key extension. As I said above, I don't use the dig key, but I went ahead and got it extended. Glad I did!
