I did my first oil changed at 4,000 miles and plan to change it at 5-6,000 miles in the future.
Is there any way to set the 10,000 mile change reminder to say 5,000 miles ?

 

You get reminders at 5,000 and 10,000 miles. 5,000 miles is basically a tire rotation but for you oil change too.

 

I must have missed it, I didn’t see any reminder message at 5,000 miles. I’m at 7,400 now.

 

When you did your oil change at 4k they reset everything, so you will get the next reminder at 10k now, and again they will reset everything whenever you going to do your next oil change and if you do it at 9k you will not see it.

 

If I understand you correctly, our NX350’s will always show a 10k reminder interval when reset. That there’s no way to change that 10k interval.

 

I think it is something automatic set in a system that set to 5k and 10k and maybe even further, I do not pay attention. But yeah no mater if you change the oil at 1k or 4k you will still have the reminder at 5k and the same goes for 10k.

 

There is a reminder every 5k miles. If you have Lexus perform your maintenance at 5K intervals they will reset. Lexus changes the oil and filter every 10k. You can manually reset the reminder each 5k; it is very easy. (see picture)
