On the prior gen NX were there different logos for each model? I know the blue outlined one is for hybrid but were there different ones for F-Sport vs Luxury or Premium?

Nope, not on 1st Gen or 1st Gen Refresh — only for F Sport — that’s the only one with distinct badges, and of course you already know the “h” for Hybrid.
I did read somewhere why they decided to do without and can’t remember exactly but the gist was that there was no need as they speak for themselves and didn’t need the designation.

Obviously, I disagree as it’s on my VIN Title, why can’t it be on the vehicle?…

In fact, I was looking at my ‘20 NX last night after I saw @lsft’s photo to see if it was doable… and it is 👍
~ so Thank You, @lsft for providing the pic in the first place 😃

~ Also, Big Thanks to OP @Amigo for thinking of and wanting this change/mod to begin with 🫡

Along with many logos for sale there are also plenty of letters — hopefully I can find some with double-stick tape already on backside. I will stick to the old style letters appropriate for my MY.

IMO, I don’t think there’ll be any fading as of now, due to Lexus’ superior paint, and OP sounds like he takes great care with his “Cleaning/waxing around the letters…”. So, hopefully being in MA, the paint held — just hope there’s no holes underneath…
Sorry, not on the subject question - How do you put in all your emoji's , bolded words, etc ?
Are you doing it with your iPhone or computer. On my computer I only see the Post Icons at the bottom of the message response area,
and no way to BOLD or find the usual emoji's that are on my iPhone.

Look for the tool bar icons ABOVE the message area

I’m at work now so I’m doing this on my iPhone — normally I use my iPad at home but I see about the same thing on my phone.

I do use the Post Icons you see on below pic.

* To bold a word either on your computer or phone, select or highlight word(s) you want BOLDED and click on the bolded “B” in picture, that should bold whatever word(s) you selected. I just did that with the “B” I typed.

* When wanting to insert an emoji, I use the “happy face” in the picture and that brings up all the emojis CL has to offer.

* If you want to insert a picture — click on the “picture” icon in the below photo and go from there.

I underlined them in yellow in the pic.

I’m rushing my answer as I’m at work but I hope this helps. I can get more in depth later if you have more questions or if others don’t respond as well.

@Amigo — at 82, you are doing well, Sir, with keeping up with technology 👍 — hats off to you 🫡

I'm on the LEXUS side. If for one second you considered the image the car exudes, more people would identify the name over the symbol.

Why? The proletariat are bombarded with images, and they get blurred. To be told in clear english, especially while sitting and staring at it at a traffic light, requires no need for the reader to search their memory for a brand association. I welcome the change if only marginally.

Wow — interesting point of view… Of course we are all entitled to our opinions, and I welcome them all.

The Lexus Logo has been around the world for 35+ years.

I look at it like any other logo whether it be BMW, MB, Jaguar, or even the Starbucks mermaid, Ralph Lauren polo guy on the horse, the Gucci double GGs, or the Lacoste crocodile — instantly recognizable and universally known.

And not just the proletariat sitting and staring at a symbol / logo / name at the traffic light, but everyone is bombarded with images across all levels.

It’s all relative what one thinks while sitting and staring at “it” at a traffic light — I wouldn’t presume to know if they identify the name over the symbol.

But hey, that’s just me, and my opinion

I ordered the "L" logo from EmblemsOnly.com today, theirs has a smooth back surface with 3M adhesive.
Some that I saw on Lexus or eBay sites had mounting clips that would fit holes in certain Lexus models, but I would have to remove those mounting clips to mount it flush.
The 3M adhesive backed “L” will mount flush.
When it gets warmer here in MA I'll try replacing the LEXUS letters with , I'll save the letters per my wife's recommendation

@Amigo — I am following your lead as I discovered my MY in other countries DID, in fact, include the word LEXUS on the back left side (see attached pic) and it wasn’t just a model work up for 2nd Gen.

I found my MY OEM part # for “LEXUS” and was able to order from Bell Lexus which just happens to be on sale NOW and w/ no tax and free shipping.

I took a look at EmblemsOnly.com and glad they have the emblem for you.

I will also wait until the weather is warmer to do this/these Mod(s).

p.s. I know it might not be a popular decision but I also ordered the “LS” and the “UX” emblems to combine the “L” with the “UX” for “LUX” as my NX MY is a LUXURY.
The “LS 500 AWD” was the full emblem and I’m thinking about using the “AWD” and including it somewhere on the back.
The hubster agrees with the “LEXUS” and maybe the “AWD” but NOT the “LUX”.
Once I get all the letters and can play around with them, to see if it’ll work, I’ll decide then — but I’m DEFINITELY going to put the “LEXUS” on as shown below.

** Let’s re-visit this thread once we do our Mods, please **

Will do .
Stopped in traffic recently I was amused thinking of the auto brands: lettering vs logo.
The Toyota logo is USA and world renowned, I don’t think I would prefer to see T O Y O T A across the back instead of their logo emblem.
How about M I T S U B I S H I ? 🤔

"OP do it I want to see pics. Do a write up and step by step so others can do this mod."
I Installed my "L" today, we had a 60 degree day.
I still warmed the LEXUS letters with my heat gun and with a masking taped putty knife carefully lifted off each letter.
They came off easier than I expected. A small amount of the letters adhesive was easily removed with turpentine.
I've found that turpentine easily
dissolves adhesive residue even from plastics without damaging them.
Then I cleaned the area with alcohol.
The EmblemsOnly.com "L" I bought is surface mount, it comes with 3M adhesive on the back.

YAY — Great job Amigo 🙌 — Looks AWESOME‼️😃

I didn’t know you were going to do it so quickly but glad you had nice weather to switch out.

We haven’t warmed up enough yet, but I do have the letters and can’t wait to switch out on my end.
