I have a 2024 Lexus NX and it was purchased this year. There seems to be a line probably from the production installation of the dash showing. Does anyone have this issue? If so, did anyone get that fixed under warranty?

It's the groove in the structure of the dash that comes apart when the airbags fire. They're all like that.

 

I didn't notice it on the other NX models. You have that marking on your NX model?

 

I'm afraid it's on all of them I would say. It's one of those ever so slight impressions on your dash that you can see in bright sunlight. It is the tear away line for the airbag as mentioned. The dash in general is a soft touch material that is very very susceptible to scratching as well, I scratched mine with a microfibre cloth wiping off a little spittle mark probably from a sneeze.

You can add poor choice in dash material to your list of disappointments.

 

Thanks for confirming also. I'm usually the driver so I don't noticed it on the passenger side until I go to the passenger side to clean the windows.

IMO, the dash material appears lower quality compared to the RX dash. The dealership cleaning crew helped leave a mark on it and there's no real way to remove it.

I went to the dealer and confirmed against a few other NX models and it's normal and yes it's the airbag opening.
