Dash Scratch
Looking for any intel on how to deal with Lexus corporate....have a 2024NX 450H Sport - love it - EXCEPT for the scratches/skid marks on the passenger side of the dash board when a loaf of bread rolled off onto the floor...could not believe the skid marks left behind...sickens me when I see it (every time I get in the car btw)...there was no warning/precaution "Not to touch the dash" or place a ballcap, sun glasses etc on the dash for fear that it would scratch/mar the materials. Visited several detail shops and Spokane dealer where I purchased it and all have refused to touch it and stated that the material is highly susceptible to scratches...had < 1,000 miles on the car when this happened. Arguing to Lexus that this material is indeed defective if it marks so easily. Any experiences in dealing with Corporate? Thanks from MT!
I am in the same situation. Took possession of the car, had a small white spot, gently dusted it off rubbed it off lightly with a microfiber and it left a scuff. My daughter barely touched the dash with her shoe crossing her leg and another. It is going to look awful in a few years. I am OCD and hyper vigilant and have kept all my cars pristine and this one is not even a month old and is already messed up. Not happy. I will be contacting the dealer and corporate. I am actually close to the Corporate headquarters in Plano, TX. Maybe we all need to complain together and in social media.
Good Luck talking to Francis in CS...they provide you with 3 call backs while they do their "investigation," each time stating they this issue is not related to the warranty...she lets you rant and then says, we have closed your file and hangs up! Go for social, I will back you 100%! The material is trash, highly prone to marring, scratching...they should have a big warning label on the dash that you the owner has to remove that says, don't touch me! Good Luck!
