Disconnect Battery ?

Disconnect Battery ?

Lexus instructions for installing illuminated door sills - first say “disconnect battery”.
The IDS are simple plug n play.
I’m afraid I may lose my settings if I disconnect the battery.
Your experience - Please

I didn't bother disconnecting the battery. I just plugged them in and they worked right away.

I think pretty much they are going to say that to cover themselves in case you fry something and then blame it on Lexus bc they didn't tell you to first disconnect the battery. For some repairs yes you would want to disconnect the battery first but for this simple plug and play swapout likely not necessary.
