Here are a couple of performance differences between the NX350h and NX450h+ in terms of Remote Start and Climate Defrost.

My dad has an NX350h and I have the NX450h+. I was at my parents place for the Thanksgiving Holiday and observed how his car performs.

1. On-Demand Remote Start for the NX350h lasts for 10 minutes. On-Demand Remote Start for the NX450h+ lasts for 20 minutes. However Scheduled Auto start lasts 10 minutes for both.

2. It appears the NX350h side view mirrors defrost faster than the NX450h+. But I have to compare it next time with a side by side test.

3. Both in the NX350h and NX450h+ the
passenger side mirrors defrost at a slower rate than the Driver’s side.

Passenger Side NX350h shows same spot of slow defrost over the blind spot indicator as the NX450h+

 

So the results are similar. At 5 min the Driver Side Clears and at 10 min the Passenger side Gets cleared in the 450h+ and mostly in the 350h.

For the NX450h+ with Hybrid Mode Engine Turned on and in Sport Mode. Normally the car will
Remote start in EV mode. For this test, I remote started and then started hybrid motor as the NX350h will automatically start the motor. I also have observed in Hybrid Sport mode the EV battery gets Recharged more often than in Eco or Normal mode.




For the NX350h- Similar results with the Drivers side defrosted in 5 minutes but the passenger side still had some frost at 10 minutes.





Tomorrow I will test the NX 450h+ defrost by keeping it in EV Mode.

 

Since last year there has been changes to the App. Also, I just noticed that front defrost turns off as soon as you open the door. The temp stays the same as the App setting and Rear and window defrost stays on.
