Default Which Rubber Mats

Question what rubber mats are you all using in areas with heavy snow? My last NX I used OEM, but the cut out near the gas pedal always had spillage into the carpeted area. By the looks of it, weathertech doesnt have something that covers behind the gas pedal either.

Weathertech has always been a good brand.

Tuxmat does a pretty good job shielding around the gas pedal. Here's a pic comparing the OEM winter mats that came with my NX vs the TuxMats I put in

I have the OEM on my ‘22 and like them. You are correct on the cutout.

I’ve used nothing but these for years now but, we don’t get much snow here either. I don’t want anything that can possibly cause problems with the gas pedal.

I only recently bought Tuxmats based on very positive recommendations from users around the web. I can't speak about their longevity, but the mats are top notch.
I had 3DMats in my previous car, an Audi. Overall, they were very good mats. However, after a couple of years they developed a crack in the seam where the heel of the accelerator foot rests.
They had lifetime warranty at the time, so I contacted them. Their response was that they don't make this model anymore, so I am out of luck.
That's why I gave my money to Tuxmats this time.

I used to buy Weathertech but was never quite satisfied... now I have Tuxmats and they are fantastic. Highly recommend them.

I second the Tuxmat, much better protection. 👍

I bought the 3D mats for another car and found that the textured material was harder to clean. 💁‍♂️

WeatherTech or Lexus OEM. There are others that are less expensive, but in this case you get what you pay for.

YMMV,

I think with all weather mats the only way to clean is to remove from car and use high pressure hose with soap

YMMV,

Lightbulb all-weather trunk mat.

Remember, whatever you choose, if you use all-weather for the trunk mat you still have to protect it with a blanket or mat if you plan to carry something really abrasive such as rocks or cement pavers.

YMMV,

Tuxmats have a benefit that they stay looking new much longer than Weathertech in my experience. I could never get the weathertech mats fully clean even with a pressure washer, while the tuxmats I just have to rinse off with a garden hose in the spring and all the salt and grime just washes away.

Living in an area where they salt the roads like crazy every snowfall, I can't see myself losing the tuxmat protection, but looks are personal so I can see why you might not prefer them.

That be the truth. I don't even need to take mine out, a quick vac to get rid of the large bits, a spritz of vinyl cleaner and quick wipe, and they literally look brand new out of the box.
