Hi everybody, I updated my phone to iOS 18.1 this morning and I’m unable to download the digital key to the Lexus app. Is anybody else experiencing that, or did that work OK for you?

 

Delete and reinstall Lexus app

Hmm. I’m sure I’ve done these things to “fix” stuff before.
Hard reboot phone.
Reset vehicle settings to factory default settings in the infotainment.

The hard reboot is much less painful 😂

In addition to delete/reinstall the app, try removing ur phone from the car's Bluetooth.

 

18.1 is not yet public. Are you on Beta?

Have you tried removing the previous digital key pairing in your Lexus Head Unit?

 

I never learn. I just upgraded to iOS 18.2. We’ll see what happens.

The Lexus Brand Engagement Center Help Line can walk you through it. My Lexus App was frozen and I had to reinstall the app but then it had trouble with downloading the key again. In the Infotainment Screen, there is a section to revoke digital keys. You then can download the key again.

 

I updated my phone to iOS 18.2 yesterday and this morning I attempted to connect the digital key to my NX. It was super easy, easier than ever before. I just clicked on “connect to vehicle” and then the NX asked me for my PIN. I entered the 6-digit PIN and that was it! Wow!
