I rarely use my wife’s 23Nx350h. In order to simplify the two drivers use, especially with me using it so little, I never created a separate driver profile for myself (I use the card that came with the car) and never connected my iPhone to the car’s Bluetooth. When I drive by myself, I connect my iPhone using USB. I recently noticed that CarPlay never launches unless I connect the USB after I turn the car on. If I connect my phone to USB before I turn the car on, CarPlay never launches. I wonder is that a design “feature” or is it a programmable option in the car or the iPhone?

 

Why not connect using Bluetooth?

 

Is there anyway to program the vehicle so that every time you get in and you connect your phone either wirelessly or by usb cord that it starts playing your music automatically where you left off before? That it opened apple carplay and starts playing your music automatically.

I don’t own this vehicle so I’m asking. I just want to get in and either wireless or cord connect my phone and CarPlay auto plays and I don’t have to press all these buttons just to start my music. Possible?

 

I think if you have a music player on the foreground of your phone when you get in, it will start playing automatically. At least it does with my YouTube app. Sometimes I forget, and I get in the car and it will start playing whatever was playing on the app before.
