Issues with Mark Levinson system
I've searched and haven't really found quite the answers I'm looking for. I've had my NX 450h+ for just over a week and I'm not super impressed with the ML sound system. I use wireless CarPlay pretty much exclusively and it's been having some annoying issues. I know there are bugs with the system, so I'm curious if anyone else is having these problems. When I'm listening to music, it sometimes sounds like it's only coming in from the left side of the cabin and makes me feel like my right ear is clogged. I've checked the balance and it's set to the middle of the car, so I would think it would be clear coming from all speakers. Also with music, some songs just sound like crap, like they were downloaded from Napster or Kazaa from back in the day.
Then at other times when I'm listening to an audiobook, it'll sound like the reader is moving closer then farther away intermittently.
I upgraded from a RAV4 Prime with the JBL system, and I almost feel like that one was better. For such a purportedly high-end system, I feel like the ML really leaves a lot to be desired. I don't want to go the route of replacing speakers, so does anyone have any suggestions what might be causing these issues or what settings I should adjust?
Thanks!

You might be on to something. I messed around with it a bit listening just music, but I think I do prefer how it sounds without the surround sound setting on. I'll see how it sounds with audiobooks on my way home tonight, but so far it seems like it might be more to my liking.
I know nothing about Apple's Carplay (Android user here), but this quick Google search suggests that there are LOTS of settings within the phone that can be adjusted.
Maybe the source of the issue is the phone settings not the car?

I want to take it to the dealer, but I can guarantee they won't hear what I'm hearing and won't do anything about it, so it's probably not worth the time.
