Default Daylight running lights

Hi there
I have one question
2024 NX350h Daylight running lights only in front or front and back??
Seems like on my NX front lights are ON and also back lights ON when I turn lights to auto
Is this normal or there is setting somewhere to change it?
Thank you

In Auto, all the lights may turn on or off depending on the light level surrounding the vehicle (as measured by the light sensor on the dash near the windshield). On a bright day, only the daytime running lights will be on. You can tell which lights are illuminated by looking on your dash. If you see the small double-sided light icon show up, that means tail and marker lights in front are on, if you see the headlight icon show up, then your headlights are on as well (and DRLs are off).

What green light do you see on the dash?

The sensor does not have a light. It's like a dome on the dash. There is a green light on the top ceiling from the SOS button.

From the owners manual, TYBE B is for Canadian vehicles as we cannot turn off our daytime running lights completely as they're required by law to be on all the time throughout all Canadian provinces. I believe some US states are able to turn them off, some not. Current Canadian regulations do not require new vehicles to have rear and marker lighting on presently, but I believe an updated regulation may be coming as anyone can attest that quite a few numskulls out their don't even know how to turn on their full headlight system in the dark and proceed to travel at night with NO FULL HEADLIGHTS and NO REAR LIGHTS ON. DRL's typically only have high beams on at half voltage or specific lighting in front that meets a certain lumen level of brightness.

Here's a few articles that describe each countries requirements (subject to change of course)
