I would have gotten the RX but the wife said no it's too big for her. This is our only vehicle now that we are retired. She said it was difficult for her to reach the door to close when inside. Wifey is only 5'0" and while I am 5'9" the RX fit me fine. I like the NX but I can see why she didn't want to move to the RX. She hated my ES300h but at that time she had the CT200h and just loved it. If she had her way, I would be crammed into a UX250h. ...Noooo!!

Happy to be in the NX 450h+

I've owned two RXs and now two NXs...and as my girlfriend said to me, "size DOES make a difference."

She suggested the UX, so we looked at one, and it was definitely too small.

We then looked at the RX, which we both deemed too big now that we live in the city.

The 2024 NX size is just right...and we love the technology!!

Quote: Do you agree with the JD Power comparison. Surprised that they have RX besting NX even in the value category.
I do agree. As previously stated both are great vehicles. 40 and 38 mpg is crazy. THE RX is a softer and quiet ride. Interior is more refined. It is really what you are looking for .Wife loves her NX for the smaller size and sporty feel of driving.

What makes the interior more refined? They look kind of similar to me, except for the absence of some piano black bits in the RX.

We have an older RX and newer NX. I think the NX is the right size for myself but we need the RX also given sometimes we may need the larger space.

I'm sure the Lexus team positioned the RX to be better than the NX. Why would people pay more $$$ if not better. Also, Lexus would like to have different products at different price points.

Great, better, best approach.

Of course this is one's opinion. The two level dash looks much better. Where the separation of the levels is where the illuminated lighting is located which is a nice touch . Materials look nicer in the RX. Bamboo accents across the dash and steering wheel looks very nice. Center console with bamboo much nicer than the piano black. The pics shows the difference. Interior doors look nicer. It is the look Lexus is going for the RX more refined the NX more sporty both in looks and drive.

You had a 17' V6 450 hybrid. How would you compare your new RX350h as far as power? Also, how is the handling? I had a couple gen 1 NX's as loaners and hated them (noisy/ stiff ride). Love my gen 2 NX on the new platform. How does the new RX (& new platform) compare?

I loved my 17 RX450h. I almost at the dealership because they didn't give me what I wanted for it was going to walk away. They finally came to their senses. I love this car. I feel it has as much power as the six cylinder. Tracks incredible. The ride is so different smoother and quieter. The torque difference is 247 versus 233 for the RX350h. I can't feel the difference. What I do notice is 27 mpg versus 38.

I miss the luxurious wood trim and the dial clock that Lexus was known for.

Can't help you with the dial clock, but there are few options as far as adding "luxurious" wood wrap, either stick some wooden looking plastic over piano black panels, or wrap everything with wood looking PPF.

Crazy an AWD midsize luxury vehicle could get better mileage than my 91' Honda CRX HF!

This rates the CRX HF at 40/47/43. So CRX still wins, and wins big on the highway.

Nostalgia - I had a 1985 CRX HF (40/48/43 ) for 6 months then I traded it for the 85 CRX Si (27/34/30) and actually what you quoted in your URL was 1989 CRXHF

By the way the CRX was first introduced as a 1984 model and the CRX HF came along in 1985 as a High Fuel version of the 1.5 Liter engine.

The CRX Si was a pocket rocket in its time. But with a 0-60 time of only 9.1 seconds it is very slow by today's acceleration standards.

YMMV,
