This doc on page 3 lists the top speed for all NX models as 200 mph.

I'm guessing it's a typo and should either be 200 kph or 125 mph.

At 200 mph, the NX would be flying past all those BMW M cars limited to 155 mph on the Autobahn.

It does not shut off at that speed, it is mechanically maxed out (gas engine redline). The computer may be set to shut off fuel at 200mph?

If my NX ever does 200 mph, I truly hope I'm not in it at the time. ...

I think the 200 mph top speed listed for the NX is definitely a typo. I'm over here trying to hyper-mile, and 200 mph would be hilarious!

That must be dropped from a plane speed.

That'll be going downhill, with a tailwind, and a black hole in front sucking it in.

200 mph is possible if you are:

• On a fast downhill road
• Behind a truck
• Back wind
• Sail on your roof
• Going off a cliff

Oh my. A typo that the NX can go 200 mph. WHAT DOES IT MATTER ? I would imagine very few of yo have even gone to a high performance driving school. Yes, I went to a free one offered by Ford when I bought the RS. It was very eye opening. Very high speed is difficult to handle.

Hmm, at 2000rpm in 8th gear I'm cruising at about 123kph. Extrapolate that to the 6200rpm redline that's 381kph, or 235mph. Hmmm, this seems like a personal challenge, LOL

would not have enough power at the higher RPMs to get anywhere close to 235 mph.. If you look at review in Road and Track ( mainly but also other car magazines) you will see maximum speed and RPM in the higher gears does not go to redline RPM, because it is power limited. typically, in a 8 speed maximum speed is achieved in 6th gear. In a manual shift 6-speed, you typically see the highest speed in 5th gear,

I can still access the doc. I am waiting for the local dealers to receive one so I can determine if the increased height and ground clearance specs are accurate. When I test drive one, I will do my best to get it up to 200.

If you do get it up to 200 mph even I will "chuckle". Do you realize how hard it is to really drive that fast ? especially on a normal road. Besides exceeding the speed limit enough for a long jail term normal roads are not smooth enough for that level of speed.
