Default How to Prep for Shipping

I need some advice on how to prep for shipping my car cross-country, then across the sea. Total of about 2-3 weeks end to end.
For cross-country from East to West Coast port, a flatbed will be used to pick up, then goes into one of those multi-level car carrier.
Once it gets to the West Coast, it then gets loaded on an open-air freighter ship.

On the flatbed pickup, do I just switch car to neutral first, then turn power off, then it gets loaded, then power on again to switch to Park? Not sure how this part works.
Also, is it better to given them the FOB, or the Smart Keycard?

First time doing this so any do's and don'ts and your advice would be much appreciated. TIA!

The will ask for the FOB and they will sate the car and move it as needed.

The shipping company will take care of all this. That is if you use one, which I highly recommend.

I once tried to ship a car across the country. Filled the trunk (big old Cordoba, huge trunk) with cases of beer as there was a strike on at my destination. They made me take those out before they shipped it, a-holes!

Thanks! Yeah, the shipper I will be using is also very strict... indicated I can only fill up my gas tank up to max of 25% and must be emptied out. Zero cargo and no stuff allowed.
