It provides very little light and I already know that this car is a Lexus so, I don't need to be reminded of it each time the lift gate is opened. The upgraded LED that I installed on the lift gate provides the much needed light in the cargo area.
Still undecided. Also updated the LED lights on the liftgate already. It's pretty simple to do.

They do look ok, but in order to install those you would have to disassemble half of your trunk , have fun

I really don't get illuminated door / cargo sills, or the fact they're made out of scratch prone stainless steel. As Spock would obviously point out as being illogical, a scuff plate or sill plate should be tough and durable, that's the point of having one. Selecting a material that scratches so easily and starts to look crappy and cheap in no time, add to that a little electrical headache waiting to happen if the lighting fails, makes even less sense. Durable black or dark grey plastic would be my choice. Heck even lay in a different plastic colour into it if you want, maybe spell out Lexus. I look at mine now and cringe, they look all beaten up. And don't get me started on fridge magnets used on stainless steel fridge doors! Give me back black or white or one of the new 'looks like stainless' finishes. Makes me wonder what a Tesla Truck looks like after a year or two.

Unfortunate but true, my door ones got scuffed up pretty quickly. Its like wearing a white tux to a spaghetti eating contest.

I put PPF on mines door sills given it was scratching up. However, on my TX I have the cargo sills there's no good ppf for it.

Still undecided.
