Arrow OEM illuminated Cup holder inserts?

Anyone install the OEM illuminated cup holder inserts? I noticed that they go with the theme of the rest of the ambient lighting on the newer 2nd gen NX. I installed the originals in my wife's 2018 but curious if anyone has installed these?

They are about $220 on Yahoo Japan Auctions. Lexus Boutique sells first gens for over $450 which is ridiculous. Actually everything on their site is overpriced.
EDIT: Lexus Boutique sells the 2nd gen illuminated cupholder inserts for $599!! wow... don't buy from there..lol

Curious though if anyone has installed/have pictures of theirs?

How are they connected to the existing factory ambient lighting? This could be why Lexus charges $600 anything electrical must be done right.

I’d say it’s a missed opportunity for Lexus, they could have added this as an option, sorta like you see window stickers with illuminated door sills and trunk sills and mud flaps, an option you may not have wanted but it’s on the car nonetheless and your forced to pay for it on window sticker. What’s another $400-$500 on a $58k vehicle.

No clue how it's connected. I'm assuming since it changes color it would be plugged into the main ECM under the dash somewhere that controls the rest of the ambient lighting. This is an OEM part, just not offered in the states. The way the first gen hooked up was just tapping two wires (positive and ground). I tapped it to the front clock so that it would dim or brighten with the rest of the interior/gauge cluster lights when you would adjust them. Lexus isn't charging $600 for this. The site Lexus Boutique (which is not affiliated with Lexus at all) is charging that much for items. Just like everything on their site, you can get the parts directly from Japan for more than half off. IE: I got the OEM Aero fins for both my RCF and CT. These are genuine OEM parts and got them for about $125 a set, compared to Lexus Boutique which charges $300+.

There's a lot of stuff we don't get here from Lexus for some reason. So many OEM accessories we don't get.... OEM window visors, exterior trim pieces...etc.
We get a lot of stripped down options/models compared to the rest of world.

I've seen the installation videos in Japanese on YouTube. You need to take apart the center console. There are corresponding clips underneath.

Lexus Boutique is indeed a ripoff. They are taking advantage of the language barrier.

At the yahoo auction price it's not bad. $200 for an OEM part anymore is cheap. Especially one that ties in with the already exsisting OEM lighting.

Can't compare those at all with OEM stuff. I've tried something lke that in the past and they are annoying on a couple reason. You have to charge them, and then they are either too bright or eventually they fail. The lexus ones are powered by the car and tie into the existing lighting, Everything just flows. But that might be an option for people. These look like they belong in a honda civic..lol

That's the nice thing about our cars (lexus in general), is they can be dismantled quite easily. The center console and removing stuff isn't bad at all.
I try and always tell people there are much better avenues than Lexus Boutique. I almost feel victim to them with severak things I wanted, but glad I held off and found the exact same pieces elsewhere. I think from all the stuff if I would have purchased from them for my wife's NX, my RCF and CT, I would have been easily $5k+ worth of stuff... finding it online else where for maybe $1600 is nice. Notice how they ALWAYS cut off the actual OEM part number in their pictures, and only show the barcode.
