14 inch screen dead
Has anyone had an issue with this? Tonight on the way out to dinner I turned on the car and the 14-in screen did not show any information. Return the car off and turned it back on. Nothing. Then we started driving and maybe 10 minutes into the drive it pops on. Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone have any idea what may cause it? Thanks.
When your screen was off, did the HVAC controls still show up. If so, you probably just had a software glitch. I've had this happen to me once in the entire time I've had my NX. I just held the volume button down until the unit reset, came back fine. Now if the HVAC controls also disappeared, this sounds more like a hardware issue. Something to keep an eye on.
There's a setting to turn off the display, perhaps that was accidentally triggered (or triggered by a software bug).
Perhaps a software update completing and it took a while.
Perhaps just a bug.
One thing you can try doing is pressing and holding the circular volume button for 5+ seconds. This causes a reboot/reset of the 14' display and software.

This thread title is misleading. It should be 14” screen went out and came back on. It’s not dead if it came back on. These new vehicles have many electrical components, these are basically computers running our cars now, glitches are bound to happen. It may have recorded a fault that Lexus can find in the vehicle diagnostics, tell them about it.
My screen occasionally reboots as I am driving. I keep my car in a garage, I think that because of the garage, downloads are not received until I am out in the open driving. The screen shuts down for about 15 seconds and then returns to the previous radio station.

Update: It took a few tries, but a long hold (10 seconds or more) did reboot the system screen. Since I already had an appointment, I brought the car to my dealer. They kept it, citing a software update that would take some time. I'm dubious of that assessment, but we'll see.
PS - the loaner non-hybrid 350 is underpowered imo.

Replacing it is probably best IMO. Did you get your NX right when it came out or some time last year later in the year?
This multimedia panel issue is my third overall with the '23 NXh.
1. In April, on our first hot day, no AC turned out to be a faulty o-ring install in a coolant line.
2. Gas cap door not popping open.
3. 14" multimedia screen intermittent outages.
About 18 months ago, my exasperated wife traded her '19 UX after her 5th dead battery. I'm actually beginning to look at other options to replace my NXh, but there's not much out there that can match the miles per gallon performance, overall comfort, and driving experience that I'm getting.

Lol... Admittedly, I do drive like an old lady as I like to maximize my gas mileage and not put my life or anyone else's in danger from speeding. Speaking of gas mileage, the non-hybrid is horrible.
You sound like the driver that everyone hates to get behind.

I don't consider 28-32 MPG highway and 22-25 city MPG to be terrible at all.
