I am puzzled. Looks like there is no way to see the total average mileage for 2024 NX350h from beginning of times (meaning when the car had 0 miles on it). The "Total Average mileage" shown on the display can be reset to 0 and start to calculate from scratch. It useful for people who wants to know the average mileage for a specific trip, but I would like to know the average mileage from 0 miles to the current odometer value.
All other cars I have driven, such as Volvo, Hyundai, Kia, VW can display this info, but not Lexus!
Thanks in advance!
When you turn the car off--in the dash display behind the steering wheel it give the running total mpg. The trip odometer (button to the left side of the dash behind steering wheel) has an A and B option that can be re-set anytime you choose, e.g. for specific trips. It gives total trip mileage--not mpg. You have to calculate that at fill up. Just don't "Clear" history on the info screen or you''ll lose the average MPG to that point. It will re-set and you lose the previous info and start all over again.

Right, this is mpg I am interested in. But when I turn off the car it displays the mpg for this trip, not for the whole life of the car, correct?
The average mpg should not be reset, otherwise, it should not be called "Total" :-)
If you go to the trip information on the infotainment system, you should see the lifetime mpg as long as you don't press update button. Once you press update, it will reset and start recording new fuel consumption.

and it will also reset the total average on the display behind the wheel to zero. I’ve done it. Otherwise that display is a cumulative average. The techs at Lexus told me there is no single trip average.
Here's what happens when I start the car: It may show zero for a second but then immediately populates that space with a gas mileage number. It has to be the average because I haven't driven the car yet. When I turn off the car, and before opening the door, my running average MPG shows in that space on the dash. The next time I start the car--that exact same number will appear--because it's a running average. Hope this helps.
Okay--I have to correct some misinformation I shared (not the first time!). I tried to take some photos but they are iffy. It turns out the NX does show you the MPG/distance/Time/percentage of electric driving for each trip. But you can't set it, re-set it, or go back to it (at least I can't). Here's what happens on my car. When I get in--and before I start the car, it shows the total miles on the car (1st Photo below). When I start the car and am ready to drive, it will show my total average MPG on the car (unfortunately that's the 2nd photo--didn't work. It shows the P for park so it appears before putting it in gear--and will remain during the entire current trip, though the number which change as you drive. The more miles you have on the car, the harder it is to affect that number--it's an average. Just like a batting average. It's really hard to move the batting average on the last day of the season. The when stopping and parking the car, putting it in park and then turning off the power...release the brake and what appears on the screen is all the information of your current trip. Since I didn't take it out of the garage for this demonstration--all the numbers are zeroes. That is the 3rd picture. Once you re-start the car for your next drive, the Total Average Miles Per Gallon will appear and the process starts all over again. So bottom line--my tech was incorrect. And I wasn't paying close enough attention to all this because I've moslyt been interested in Total Average MPG. Maybe there is a setting to modify this sequence or to do resets (left already noted how to do it in the settings on the big screen--but--if you clear the history it will eliminate your prior Total MPG and go back to zero. Then--you'll see the Total MPG fluctuate wilding while driving because the N for the average is so small. Hope this makes sense. If your car is displaying differently than mine--chime in.

Yes, I've pressed multiple times before trying to figure out how to display the lifetime average. Thus, I can no longer get a true lifetime MPG.
As far as the engine shutoff display, I wonder if the function changed for the 2024 model year.
This is from the 2022 Owners Manual:
*1: It is reset each time the engine stops.
Did you search any previous threads? The forum search engine isn't the best, but it works pretty good. It always surprises me, maybe not unexpectedly, when new people come in and try to discuss problems and issues that have already been discussed and for the most part resolved.
