Would gladly wait for a SSB but I think in the next 2-3 years they just mentioned over 500 miles batteries... for SSB, 4-5 years (https://www.ft.com/content/6224f235-...7-e7dacf0ef20c)... and then the wait time after you order will be another year or two... keeping the options open though... I'm hoping they'll improve the RZ (as they did with the 2024 NX compared to the original 2022 model)...

SSBs will be a huge game changer if, and I think that's a big IF they can turn their R&D into actual high volume manufacturing. My thinking at this point is any estimates (like all good estimates) need to be doubled or tripled but I will be happy to be proven wrong. I've seen a lot of press releases from Toyota blowing sunshine up areas where darkness usually prevails, but I can't help but wonder if that is more marketing than capability to keep potential near future buyers pining for them.

They didn't do that much improvements between the 2024 and the 2022 NX. Nothing related to range or efficiency was changed. Only thing they did was add some features that they could have added day one. They also fixed things that were not as refined. Nothing else was really a major improvement. Mid cycle refresh time we should see some improvements.. maybe 2025.

True, though one can only hope they'll do something more to improve the RZ as right now they're at the lower level of the EV market.
