Unlike my previous ESs, my new NX is disappointing in that the map display is WASHED OUT...very little color and contrast. Only display settings are brightness and contrast and they do nothing to enhance the display. I do like AA map but I'd like to be able to use both. Any thoughts?

I had the same reaction so I’ve changed to night/dark display which makes things more readable.
I'm surprised at how many people dislike the display. Most other vehicles' systems look cartoonish, the muted colors on my NX make the nav system look much more mature and sophisticated.
I only had issues with the display in the standard light Lexus Nav mode. When dark, it is much improved. But IMHO the Apple Maps nav display using Carplay option is noticeably better in the info conveyed and screen organization.
P.S. my vehicle is the 2022 350h with 14 in display.
I only used the integrated Navigation on my 16 RX or 20 ES once and truly disliked it. Outdated info (Even after an update), bad route planning, not planning around traffic properly etc. Looked good though, as a wallpaper. Can this really be worse than tribble???
We have had about a dozen Lexus cars. the 2022 NX450h+ is by far the least satisfactory Lexus we have ever had for one reason - the "infotainment" system totally sucks! Not only is the display god awful, but the procedures for wandering thru the functions are confusing (an understatement), especially if you try to do it while you are driving. We have had the Lexus dealer tech guy out twice to make sure that everything is set up correctly, and it has made little difference. We can't wait for the lease on our NX450h+ to be up. On the other hand, we have a 2020 RX350 which we will definitely hang on to as its infotainment system is 10X better than the ****ty system in the 2022 NX450H.
We used it once... The day we left the dealership with our brand new NX350h.
The display quality is nice in our case, but we switched to Android Auto and Waze (not the best looking software, but the nicest to avoid issues and tickets).
On a side note:
The experience with the navigator was not as good as one would expect, from the dealership to my inlaws home the navigation software tried to make us take a lot of wrong direction streets. And we are not speaking of a small village, we are speaking of Barcelona.
