I'm just curious. My friend has a 2020NX and his dashboard is full leather that matches the seats and some nice detailed stitching. What happened with the new ones. Does it really cost that much more.

 

I'm sure it's cost cutting. Personally these small details go a long way to adding a sense of quality/luxury. At the very least put simulated stitching.

I remember having to pay $1800 for the extended leather option on my BMW M3. Wish they offered that option for the dash and doors of the NX, I would gladly pay extra.

 

I'm with you on that. Luxury is luxury and I wonder how much else they shortcut to save money. With the price we are paying I don't agree with there logic.

 

The dash material in the new NX Is terrible. It scratches very easily. Worst dash material I've ever had in a car.

 

Agreed, mine had an abrasion when I took delivery but I didn’t notice until I got home. Rubbing the area with a damp microfiber cloth has helped, you only notice it when the sun hits the spot.

Dash on new NX is same rubber material as my RCF. I am in the process of installing a new dash due to cracking and abrasions.

I am holding off on the new NX until the update. Hope they improve the dash material or cover it with Nuluxe.
