Default Not possible to build how does one get on allocation list

It’s been eon since I have to buy a car and the new process is so weird! I went to the dealer, (my city only has one), but a few within 150miles. Local dealer laughed at me when I asked what 350H they have in stock and said they were all accounted for before when allocated. He has 3 that’s allocated and i can have them for 1K deposit (MSRP), I have a few questions if you would kindly school me on this new process. The allocation has 3 cars coming, Black exterior and palomino, Nori green and black, or gray and red. I want Nori green and Palomino, how do i “order” this?
He also said all of the allocation that comes for 350H are luxury models, which i is what i want because i really want the 14 inch display. (My must haves are 14 inch display, heated seat/wheels, button to push the trunk open) Another question is how do i know if they will add “dealers addition”? will they do it after the car landed? Do i negotiate that now or on delivery day?

Many thanks!!

Lehigh Lexus of Allentown discounts around $2500. If you see what you like coming in put a refundable deposit on it.

Here are some answers. I just went through the same process and I usually ordered my cars previously.

1. Put the deposit down and take the Nori Green with the black. It is nicer than the black exterior color IMO and also IMO the palomino went a little overboard with it going up the pillars and roof liner. I just got the Nori and black Luxury and love it. I would not like the missing features of a lesser than Luxury model.
2. They probably will add dealer additions. If you get an order sheet it should show up as PIO (not FIO). With that said some of the dealer additions are nice anyway so you just have to live with it. They all do this unless you can order but right now for a Lexus 350h, you cannot order.
3. You can try to negotiate now, but it probably will not happen. You will pay MSRP (around $56k for 350h Luxury) or they will move on to the next person which will be in short order. People scourge around from all over the country looking for 350h's right now. I had to travel about 150 miles for mine and I got extremely lucky. If they have an allocated car that is unreserved, you are lucky too.

Good luck with the car and the hunt and hopefully I will see another Nori Green on the road with you in it. The green is a darker shade with a metalic look, quite unique. It is not black, white or 50 shades of gray.

Typically if the dealership does discount right now, it is on an ICE model and not the hybrid models. Check and see.

Thank you all!!

The detail steps was super helpful and valiated what the sales was saying (still haunted by the used car salesmen vibe from before!! wondering if they are lying)

I dont know i i should just take the Nori green or wait for nori/palomino to come, i'm not in a huge rush.

I have a 2024 350h Premier. It came with the 14" screen. Heated and ventilated front seats and heated steering wheel. Digital rearview mirror. Panoramic view. Automatic trunk release with kick feature. And more. So you could get your must haves in the Premier version for a lot less.

The 20" wheels on the 2024 luxury trim are not standard. That is an additional option although most dealers or lexus puts them on.

With Luxury Package you get the Pano-roof, leather seats, 4 way lumbar (versus 2 way), the high end stereo system, etc. And typically the 20" wheels. I was almost opposite since there were things I definitely did not want. I didn't want the pano roof or the 20" wheels. I didn't care about the leather (the NuLuxe is very nice). I would have liked the sound system but too many things I'd have to get with it that made it a deal breaker. I also got the Card key which was something the car came with. I didn't care about it but now find it's all I use.
