Another reason I choose Lexus
J D Power has ranked by Lexus owners #1 in dependability 22 out of 27 years. Consumer Reports ranks Lexus #2 in reliability behind it's cousin Toyota. Lowest in maintenance cost among luxury ICE manufacturers. Highest in satisfaction with dealer service. #2 in customer loyalty among premium SUV's.

The one thing I don't like is the fact that these are really liked by thieves and apparently easy to steal. I'm hoping Lexus steps up and does something solid to alleviate the fact that as with lists for reliability, these are also tops on lists for theft. Having gone through it, it's not pleasant. If the one we own now is stolen, we'll be moving to another manufacturer.

Which manufacturer makes vehicles less likely to be stolen?

Not 100% sure, but if I do need to, will investigate. Statistics are out there.
Anecdotally, maybe some Buick and Ford models. Not that I want to go there, but if I have too, I will. Some folks I know drive 4 or 5 year old cars for this reason too.

If you google the 'most stolen cars in the U.S." this is what you get: Together, this list represents 15% of all stolen vehicles in the United States during 2021.
- Honda Civic.
- Honda Accord.
- Toyota Camry.
- GMC Pickup.
- Nissan Altima.
- Honda CR-V.
- Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee.
- Toyota Corolla.
I live in Canada. The list is similar but Lexus RX are at or near the top all the time as are F150's. In the area I live in, RX is at the top, mine was part of that statistic. The last conversation I had with a high end installation shop, the owner informed me NX are picking up in popularity with thieves as well.
