Default NX OEM mud flaps/guards

Hi All,

Finally got the good news from my dealership that my NX350h has been built in Japan and will be delivered in the next couple of months.

I want to ask current NX owners, how much do you like your OEM mud guards? Do you enjoy their look? Are they functional?

Based on a couple of pictures I have found, I don't know how I feel about them. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks

They look ok but are barely effective in mud or wet snow. Previous thread in this forum somewhere

I have them and they are great but we don't get snow in Florida. I bought them to keep mud off the car and installed them myself in 15 minutes.

They came on ours at delivery. I was concerned about the look but they blend in well.

I don't think they're really functional, but I like the look of the mudguards and body side mouldings.

On previous ES models I had a lot of stone chips on the bottom of the car. I've learned Lexus doesn't use good paint. But with the NX I put them on myself. Super easy and I did have to remove the rear wheels as I didn't have the short tools to install without having to remove. As someone else mentioned, they blend in really good.

My only concern is the hole at the bottom of the mudguards. Like someone else said, I live in Florida too, no snow. So no collection of snow in the hole. Not a lot of mud where I live as it's mostly sand, water doesn't stick to sand. But I could understand why others could have issues with them.

Mine is coming with the car - tried to get them removed but no luck. I think if you bought them on the Lexus parts website it's around $65 vs $165 as PIO. Not sure how functional it will be but I guess we'll see!

I think they look fine--but they're never added for looks IMHO. I put them on all my cars for their function. On the NX you can see where they'll protect portions of the body from road debris and stones, etc. Just eye up where the tires will be flinging things absent the mud guards.

OEM MG do work well against splatters on the bottom of rear bumper and side of the car. F-Sport didn't have them and it took one drive after rain for me to get those guards. It makes big difference. Those also look as they belong on the car. Well designed.

I received the factory mud guards and the look is quite poor compared to what I was expecting. Not sure if I want to put them on or return them. Searching the web I found these from Japan that don't detract from the cars looks, yet the photo is not a gen 2 NX. Does anyone know of a better looking (like this photo) mud guard that is for the gen 2 NX. Photos would be a help as would a link.

I bought mine from Lexus dealer after market. They installed them for free before I picked up the car. They look like the pictures you just posted on the white car. I like them.

Can you please drop a quick phone photo of them. The ones I received cover up the stylish return of the painted metal and do not form fit the lower trim like the first photo.

I purchased mine from Lexus and they are Lexus PN. I put them on myself on my 23 450H+. I think they look decent.

I think I found the flaps from another site, and they are for the UX. Just search for item 4771253399342090. I wonder if they fit the NX and how they look? Anyone experimented with this?
