Question Front Grill Cleaning?

Did someone find a good tool/trick to clean the front grill?

I realize this may be a silly question but there is a lot of grill to clean on this car and I did not find a thread on the matter… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Foam cannon and detail brush to go through the grill. Used to drive an Acura and it was the same method I used to clean

Agree with the above post about a proper wash and detail brush. After you wash and it’s still wet spray on Gyeon Wet Coat. And just spray it off. It’s a 3 ish month sealant that will help keep it clean. Only takes a minute to add a layer of protection on such an intricate grill.

I made my own little stick out of wood. It's shaped similar to the grill openings, but half the size. Slap a microfiber towel over it, take a seat in front of the grill and poke each opening.
Sounds tedious but it goes fast, two three minutes. Yes it needs to be washed first, wash mitt, power wash, whatever.

Stick is about a foot long and only one end is tapered similar to the grill. I just used a box cutter to form the wood. Works well, gets into the angles very well, rotate your cloth as it gets wet and gross
Takes all the water out and leaves it spotless.....watch out some holes have a backing.

Cheers.

Thanks @FastFord , @EWDavid and @andys1548.

I already have a few detailing brushes but it is a tedious job. 😕
Maybe @FastFord’s stick is the fastest tool. 🙂

I didn’t know about the Gyeon Wet coat @EWDavid.

I use the power wash, foam cannon and each hole one by one. When it's done, I dry it off and apply Adam's Polishes Graphene Ceramic Spray coating. It provides the grill with a ceramic coating and the hydrophobic properties make future cleaning fast and simple. The spray should last 9-12 months before having to apply again. You won't be disappointed.

I think OP is after the 'lazy' solution. Try foaming the grill with a high PH foam first like Bilt Hamber auto foam/touchless, or koch chemie super foam. Agitate the grill with a detailing brush and rinse with pressure washer. The stronger foam should loosen all the dirt and gunk and the pressure washer should be able to rinse it right off. You might not even need to agitate with the brush.

The stick I made is shaped like a parallelogram or a rhombus....YES I HAD TO LOOK THAT UP lol

And just to check I sprayed the grill with glass cleaner and used the stick. Took 4 minutes...and I had some bug guts, but it was fairly clean.
