Thanks. I wanted to get the spare from modern spare, but you have to use different lug bolts than OEM. Something about the new ones being conical. If anyone can chime in on this it will be appreciated.

I have the spare from Modern Spare. I tested their jack and it raises the tire off the ground and the spare fits with the lug bolts provided. I have used Modern Spare for other cars and Modern Spare pretty thoroughly researches, tests, and validates that their spares work on the designated target car, in this case the Lexus NX.
I just find it odd that the OEM bolts will not work with the spare. I like the modern spare a little better and the tire they provide is rated for higher speed.

To be honest , i tested the mounting almost 2 years ago. I was able to easily mount it, but I don't remember if I used the bolts provided by Modern Spare or if I used the OEM bolts, SORRY I bought it, validated it, carried it around for awhile in the trunk 2/43of space ( relocated all jack, jack parts and bolts in trunk+, and now the spare tire is in the garage attic LOL.

Was it a 2021 you mounted it on or 2022 or newer?

Reason: wrong info
Here's a couple of images to help explain what we're dealing with.
Current generation NX and RX have gone to a radius bolt used for their OEM / rim wheel mounting from the age old lug nut, just to screw everyone up!
Your spare tire / rim combo should fit if you've selected your options correctly, but the spare may need to use a different bolt design, either a radius type or a tapered conical type seat, and a different length possibly - so it's not too long and comes out backside of rotor/hub assembly (not good),
The bolt must match the rim or you'll risk the wheel flying off because the bolt won't seat correctly. Thank you Lexus.

When you go thru the dropdown menus to order on Modern Spares website, you would enter your vehicles year and get the entire correct kit. Easy peasy, at least it was for me?
Gen2 2022 Lexus NX350h Luxury ( every option except power folding rear heated seat).

P.S. - When I get a chance I will check the Modern Spare bolts. Currently , the NX is in temporary trickle charger storage at Lake House
The Modern Tire fits tight with Lexus NX bolts; the wheel is shaped to fit the Lexus bolts.

Tue, Jul 9 at 4:31 PM Hey MidCow3 thanks for reaching out the spare will work with the conical head we provide an extra set of lug bolts to ensure the fitment.

I believe the lexus uses the ball bolts, not conical. That is why modern spare includes a new set of bolts. I just ordered the factory spare and will post some pictures when I get it.
