TPMS (not) in Winter Tires
About to do a late install of winter tires and wheels. I dont really want to spend $300+ to buy new sensors, + 2 X per year re-programming fees... so a couple of questions.
/1/ a single old post made this claim: "my 2015 has two sets of tpms programmed. When i switch tires i need to go to settings, tpms and the press the center button 3 times (once every second) and then the tpms yellow warning light will Flash slowly first, then faster and the disappear and the tpms has switched to second set."
Can anyone else verify if this is true, or false?
/2/ If I leave TPMS off the new wheels, as long as my dash is not on the screen showing tire pressure, will there be any other warning light to annoy me?
/3/ On some vehicles, if one removes TPMS, it may disable the ability to turn off traction control. Can anyone confirm how the NX handles this? I have the 300h, which might act differently from the FWD models. I do sometimes briefly turn off traction control...

I'm curious about this too. I've gone through the manual and have not seen anything so far for the relearn process. On all previous vehicles, I've always had 2 sets of rims since we have a mandatory winter tire law here, all rims with TPMS, and had to relearn the rims at every swap, either through a menu on the vehicle or using a tool. (I hate running to the dealer)
Currently, I'm using the stock rims with my winter tires, and plan to get new rims for the summer.
If the lexus is like every other vehicle I've own, no tpms will give you a warning light, similar to when the tire is low, and it stays lit... on my GM, I was able to dismiss the warning, only for it to come back when I restarted the truck.

This is my solution to this problem, https://www.michelinman.com/auto/tir...-crossclimate2, the tires have been great both summer and winter and are official winter 3 peak snow flake tires.
