Hey All I have a 2019 NX 300H.
Unfortunately this model did not come with subwoofer. I had a loaner NX300 and it had the sub in the hatch/tail gate, now I have a really nice 10" powered sub that I would like to install. I know the battery is in the trunk so the only thing I need are the actual "turn on" wires. I was hoping to find out if the amp is located in the back as well so I can piggy back the speaker wires from there instead of running the wire to get the signal from one of the passenger doors. I've been looking for DIY's but it seems as though everyone is replacing the head units etc. It is a lease, so for now I want to return it back to stock when the time comes unless I decide to keep it and then I'll just replace the head unit etc....
Hello All Hope all is well,
LeX2K
So I managed to find the stock Amp. I was able to remove almost all the plastic trim fully except where the amp is located, of course. I was able to gain access from the right rear passenger seat. I removed that 12 or 13mm bolt that holds that lock down. removed the 10mm hex that holds the other one in but I was only able to get it pulled back partially. I saw the amp and noticed 2 wire connector bundles. One had a black clamp on there (i couldn't take off) that had 16 or 18 gauge wire going to it. I assume those are the power and ground connectors, then the other bundle had 20 or 22 gauge wire in it. Are those the speaker wires? The amp has another set of pins that didn't have a connector which isn't being used. I had come across someones post that showed the pin numbers for each speaker, but i couldn't find any pin numbers on the plug or the amp. Any info or guidance would be greatly appreciated. I don't have the subwoofer in the hatch but I was hoping to piggy back into those wires if available.
Thanks again.

[QUOTE=n0v8or;11131734]This is for the 2019 gasoline (non-hybrid) model. I do not see any reason why the hybrid would be different.
Good morning... thank you so very much. This helps A LOT.. much appreciated. I highly doubt that the hybrid is any different than the gasoline version. Have a great day..
Good morning to all that have helped me w my powered subwoofer install. Nov8or ty for the stock amp wiring. It was a success... so very grateful. Sounds awesome. Just what the system needed... thank you again.
hope you hv a great day
Can we get detailed pics from install? I'm sure that would further help others in doing the same project.
My questions are, what powered sub did you use? Where did you place it? Where did you order it?

NX200T16 good afternoon,
unfortunately I don't have step by step photos of my setup but I will attach pictures of where I placed it. I purchased an INFINITY BASSLINK from Crutchfield.com waaaaaaasy back in 2004, YES 2004, for my then car 2002 VW GTI MK4. I had to get rid of the car because my family grew however I never had an issue with this sub. I completely love this thing. It is 300w if I remember correctly, regardless because I had and have it installed in the hatch, it acts like a sub box. I have never had the levels past the half way mark because it does the job.... I was going to look into the powered subs that fit inside the spare tire but I couldn't see myself spending that $$$ when i knew I had a perfectly good working sub in my possession already. I ran the battery + and the negative cable directly to the battery which is installed in the trunk of my NX300H, then the turn on speaker wires straight to the amp which is also in the trunk. The only thing I ran to the steering column was the wired gain ****. I ran it under the plastic door sil caps and under the dash on the column. The hardest part was taking the darn trim apart in the trunk without breaking anything. I wasn't able to get the side trunk panel off completely but I was able to manage.. I have the sub secured by a bungee cord, not ideal but it is really tight and has proven to be solid. I made one hole in a plastic panel to run the cables. Positive separate from the others. Not perfect but works for me. I made it to where I can disconnect it if I needed the trunk space again.
So where did you connect the remote wire? Considering you said you needed the speaker for the turn on signal I'm assuming you connected the remote wire to one of the speakers?
So my powered sub, which I think all powered subs, have 2 ways of connecting them. 1 if you have an aftermarket head unit then connect the turn on wire to the turn on wire to the unit or, 2 through speaker wire connectors that are on the sub If you have a stock head unit.
mine is stock so I grabbed the speaker wire turn on from the sub to the speaker wires coming from the stock amp.
It’s called “universal interface” on my unit. I only have the ground and the positive along with the speaker wires. That’s it…
