Hitch cover mod
I have lost 2 of these OEM hitch covers, I like the look of the original covers and didn't want to lose another. So I decided to create a plate so I could lock the cover. I went to home depot and got a 1 1/2"x4" metal plate and did some measuring (see my drawing) and got 3 holes drilled out. If any of you ever want to do this the screw has to be flat head, I tried other screws and the head of the screw was hitting the hitch so the screw has to be low profile. I also painted everything black so there will be no rust in the future. Take a look, it was more work than needed to be and now I hope I don't lose another one. Hope you all like.

I'm new here, but any other vehicle with a hitch that I've had, came with what you made already prefabbed, all in plastic. Surprised there isn't a Lexus version. Any metal back there will rust, I would have used SS screws as well or plastic pop rivets.
