2021 Chip Shortage
Has anyone sold their NX due to the high demand? I sold our '18 Accord and got into a 2020 UX off lease for not a lot of money. There was a $9k difference from what Carmax paid me to the trade in valuation! Our 15 NX is a base model with nothing extra except for the aftermarket Carplay (Grom). They are offering me 21K and I am torn as it's a great opportunity. Thing is I want the NX 450+ PHEV which won't be available for some time and I might have to pass...

Also, with regard to getting an NX plug-in hybrid, good luck. The NX plug in hybrid will share components with the RAV4 plug-in hybrid. The RAV4 plug-in hybrid has been almost impossible to find, and those who are able to find one are not getting discounts from MSRP. Instead, they are often paying $10,000 or more over MSRP. Historically, an NX has had an MSRP of around $10,000 higher than that of a similarly-equipped RAV4. I suspect that the same will be true for the NX plug-in hybrid. If that is the case, the MSRP for a well-equipped NX plug-in hybrid will be around $60,000, and they will be hard to find for a good while. That will likely result in people paying as much as $70,000 for one.
