Was surprised the nx needs premium gas. I had the 2018 and it ran on regular

My 2018 specified premium gas also.

Its the same engine between the 2018 and 2021 NX, so if you want to abuse your car, you can also use the cheap gas on your 2021.

Every NX since 2015 should use Premium gas (from the gas label suggest). From all the dealership loaner car I had so far.

Wrong. The hybrid (nx300h) only needs regular 87 octane, it's just the 2.0l turbo that needs premium 91 octane:

My bad, I wasn't refer to 300H. I was referring to regular NX and NX F sport since I never drive the 300H yet from all those loaners.

I don't have my manual handy, but I have a 2018 NH 300h and I recall reading in the manual that 87 should be used and not premium. I remember this because it was the first time I've ever seen anything calling out a point to use a specific grade of gas.
