Offset steering wheel after 20 inch wheel install ?
Hey Everyone! Just installed a set of Rx 20 inch wheels with some Bridgestone turanza quiet track tires 245/45/20 the tire shop had the alignment machine booked so it wasn’t possible to check the alignment after the install . My nx has 45000km never had issues with uneven tire wear or whatever. After getting the 20s installed when driving on the highway my steering is now slightly offset to the left, before the install the steering was on center . Is this caused by the larger size tires causing the car to follow the road imperfections ? I have booked an alignment check on Wednesday just in case
I thought the same !! Both wheels and tires are brand new and they were installed by the best shop in town and all 4 wheels balanced perfectly. Gonna get my alignment checked at the same shop on Wednesday to make sure . Thanks for the info
**maybe** you have some cross camber issues that were highlighted by the new wider (?) tires that the old narrow ones used to mask well. Without an alignment reading, this is just speculation, of course.
