Default P0191 Check Engine Light

Hello everyone,

I am new here. I have a 2015 GS350 F Sport (Can't be more thankful) and my mom has 2015 NX200t.
Someone filled the NX with 87 gas about 2 moths ago on accident and the check engine light came on, giving the code P0191- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance.
I am convinced that it is a result of bad gas, but its been 2 months and plenty of fill ups with premium gas, plus I reset the light about every week but it seems pretty permanent. The car is still under powertrain warranty but I have tried hundreds of times to get in touch with a service person at our local Lexus to ask if warranty covers that and no one ever returns a call.
Does anyone know if this is covered under powertrain warranty or not? Also does anyone know what that code is and what needs to be replaced?

I appreciate all the help in advance.

The followings are items that are covered by powertrain warranty from Lexus. I think you just need to bring your car in for them to diagnose the real problem. I think they do charge for diagnostic if car is out of basic warranty It maybe a bad sensor or bad fuel pump. If it is a bad fuel pump, it should be covered, but it could be something else. Good luck.

POWERTRAIN WARRANTY

﹀The Powertrain Warranty is for 72 months or 70,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Except for the situations listed on the Basic Warranty page, this warranty covers repairs needed to fix defects in materials or workmanship of any component listed below:

ENGINE

Cylinder block and head and all internal parts, timing belt and cover, flywheel, oil pan, water pump, fuel pump, engine mounts, engine control computer, seals and gaskets

TRANSMISSION AND TRANSAXLE

Case and all internal parts, torque converter, clutch cover, mounts, engine control computer, seals and gaskets

FRONT-WHEEL-DRIVE SYSTEM

Driveshaft, axle, hub, bearings, seals and gaskets

REAR-WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM

Differential carrier assembly, driveshaft, axle carrier, axle case, axle bearing, axle shaft, seals and gaskets

Thank You for your response. Took it to Lexus today and turned out to be TSB. Just needed an update, they did it of course at no charge.

Can you give us a little more information, like the TSB number and what it does? Thanks.

They didn't give me the number. I found it somewhere on Google. But it left the fuel rail pressure sensor stuck on low which triggered the check engine light
