For anyone who has been wondering, I tried Bar Keeper’s Friend cleaner and it works! Windshield crystal clear.

 

Powder? I've never heard of this stuff before. What was the procedure?

 

Bar Keepers Friend is a cleaning powder. Clean window with windex, Put some of the powder on a wet sponge( preferably a netted sponge) and use circular and back and forth motions. Keep adding windex to keep it moist. Wipe up the excess windex with clean paper towels. There are a few YouTube videos demonstrating how to do it. Works very well!
