I’m having my second door actuator replaced in a six month time period (different doors). Has anyone else experienced this type of failure? I’ve owned a variety of vehicles over the years and have never had this happen.

that's why I brought this up in my post. I believe it's a common issue across all Lexus platforms. Our NX appears to be one of the model threads that has the least amount of viewers with 34,000. As a comparison the GS has 1,400,000.

What I'm getting at, I think it's good that we bring this up here in our our NX model forum. I found very little here, but lots more in others model forums and I spend most my time here since that's what I drive.

I've replaced one actuator, and now I have a problem where my gas tank door will not always open. I have to cycle through locking and unlocking the doors a few times, and then hit the outside of the gas tank door hard to pop it open. What happens if the door does not unlock and I need gas???

 

Just had my passenger front door actuator replaced under warranty. Had car for 3 years now. I wouldn't have thought it would go out at this point
