I use this in the drivers side vent. Works great!

I figured I should share my experience with deciding where to put the phone mount with the NX 300 F Sport, being a iPhone X user. I didn't want to lose out on the wireless charging. So magnets are out of the question, I'm using the Easy One Touch Wireless Fast Charging Dash & Windshield Mount MODEL NO: HLCRIO134. Second picture, I tried to manage the cables a little bit with gaffer tape. In person, the tape is not as noticeable. It is working pretty good for the last week, I am very surprised it's holding so well.

Default Wireless charger alternative

So like many US nx owners, I'm a bit bummed out about no wireless charging among many other features. However, the one touch iottie qi charger is a great solution. I have tried other versions of this same mount and their build quality is inferior to iottie's. I tried a gravity version of this and the charger didn't work and the mount fell off.

Finding a good location was a bit of a head scratcher but not too bad. iottie includes a sticky dash pad that the mount sticks to for a more secure mount. It definitely works. I mounted the sticky pad on the side of my console and it's actually only about 80% on and it works great. I just cut out a section of the sticker backing to put back on the sticky pad that isn't touching any surfaces to keep it clean. The glove compartment opens up just fine as well

only issue is that face unlock is a bit too far to work, but I sit really far back too. I can easily use the fingerprint scanner tho no problem. I saved my fingerprint in all directions on my phone for situations like this

perhaps I would even prefer this mount over the stock qi charger because this way, my phone is still in view. Hope this helps anyone. I would love to see any other alternatives or locations.

edit:
I just saw the other thread for phone mount location. Perhaps I should've replied there instead.

Best spot in my opinion is the location in the very first post. I looked everywhere for the Iottie Easy Flex 2, however that has been discontinued; replaced with the Easy Flex 3. I tried the new one, and they changed the design to where it won't work; the easy flex 3 won't bend in the right way to work. So I sent it back & got a Scosche MAGWDM (from Amazon. Link -->
Amazon Amazon

The neck just barely bends enough to work, but it does work. I'm extremely happy with it. It's completely out of my leg's way (I'm 6 ft tall), and my favorite part is it's a magnetic mount. So the mount comes with an extremely slim metal plate you can stick to the back of my phone between it and the case, and I can just stick my phone to the mount & grab it off with extreme ease. The only drawback is, due to the mount neck barely being long enough, the steering wheel covers a very miniscule sliver of the upper left side of the screen. So I just have to move my head like an inch to the right to see the entire screen. Overall, I highly recommend it!

I just installed it yesterday in my 2018 NX
It clears the screen in the recommended position

Thanks, just ordered one kit
Did you managed to wired it thru some channels from the USB port or direct connect with hanging wire ... or never connect it ?
Anyone with wiring option around that position ?

I ran the usb cable back to the center console usb port. Didn't get to hardwire it . I also ordered regular non powered proclip cradle. I just ran it along the passenger side trim and pusshed it into the openings where the cable would fit. Rest is held together with gaffer tape. Need to figure out how to hardwire it.

Thank you, also ordered the non-powered version of the cradle
The passenger side trim is easy to remove and hide the wire under it, simply remove the 2 hex screws and pull gently on it so you can pull the clips out of their anchors, just did it in 2 mins ...
Would appreciate if you could provide a picture of the wiring with the gaffer tape to the device ?
Will provide pictures once order received and installed

Merci !

Thank You ! Very generous of you to provide these.
After removing my trim I figured out I could probably run the wire between the dash and the console at the end point to connect the phone. But by seeing yours, it confirms I can do it as you did ... Nice setup.
My installation will probably turn out to be the same as yours as I also have that same black flat wire for my iPhone and on top of it, the same Circuit Red interior too but different brand of water bottle :-)

Thanks again !

Actually, the two hex screws are decorative and don't need to be removed. Just pull on the trim and it will pop off.
