For a 18 NX300 - I am getting a weird noise when I shift from park to reverse or drive and again back to park. Doesnt happen between reverse and drive. Ive read through most of the threads and Im thinking its the hill assist. See attached video, it is not the side mirrors going down, although you can hear that as well. If it is the hill assist, it is extremely loud, i cannot think of anything else it can be, it sounds like a system engaging. I have an appt with the dealer to check it out, but just curious. TIA for any comments or ideas.

 

That is the electronic parking brake. You currently have it set to auto so it disengages every time you move out of park and engages once you move into park.

 

My 2017 ES350 has 14K miles on her. Bought it brand new exactly 2 years ago. Never heard or feel any thunk sound when I pulled from Park to Reverse.
