Default Clear coat damage after unwiped water or bird poop

Did anyone have problems with clear coat on these cars? After unwiped water or rain or bird poop I have clearly visible damaged clear coat all other the car. Had to polish the car one already, but not long after the hood destroyed again.

What do you recommend? Is this type of paint that can only be kept in a garage?

thanks

I can tell you that bird crap left on paint in the sun will damage any clear coat. As for water, if it was from a sprinkler or such it would/could be hard water and that as well will mess up clear coat. No matter of the brand. A wise decision would be a good wax coat on the paint. I rewax my black NX300 every 30-45 days.

keep a spray bottle of quick detailer and microfiber cloths in your car for spot treatment.

There's some funny self healing clear coat on these cars...leaves lots of swirls if you even look at it funny.

no swirls on my silver NX or blue nightfall mica RX, with bright sun. I only use horizontal or vertical wiping when washing and waxing. Yes, some slight visual micro scratching when looking at certain angles. Swirls can be seen from any angle.

Correct, bird poop has acids in it that eat into paint.
The only defense is regular very thick wax layer. As wax washes off with rain and regular washes.
Also, a clearly posted sign "BIRDS PLEASE POOP ON MY CAR" by Murphy's law will protect it also.

Yeah, I have a microfiber towel in the car ready so any sign of bird poop, I wipe it off as soon as I can.

I learned it the hard way way back then, so it's a habit now.

Keep in mind your car will likely get bombed more when it's nice and shiny.
The birds will see the reflection as a threat, so they target your car.

Another protection is to keep it dirty since the extra layer of dirt will serve as a barrier

I bought our CPO and discovered it after purchase. I'm really disappointed that I didn't catch it earlier . It only shows up in certain light and had a shop try to buff it out with limited success.

Yeah, looks like paint on these cars is extremely cheap.
