Default Apexi n1 axleback vs catback

I'm trying to buy an apexi n1 exhaust but there is very limited videos on YouTube about the sound. Just kind of reving from idle and I was wondering does anyone have any videos of how it sounds on acceleration from the outside of the car and inside of the car. If anyone owns one could you upload something quick? Would really help me narrow down my decision

I’ll give u a simple answer. Axlel back will have practically no sound, full catback will give u sound.

There is a huge resonator in the OE midpipe that reduces a lot of the exhaust sound. With just an axleback, a deeper tone from stock can be heard, but it is not much louder. I liked the loudness back in my early Honda Civic days, but as an adult, I like it more mild..

Is there really any power gains at all in doing so? Or are you just looking for sound? I don't find that these vehicle's sound particularly very nice considering it's a turbo charged four cylinder.... If it could sound like my STi then it might be cool but I don't think you are going to get a "nice" exhaust note from this thing.

surprisingly you’ll be shocked, it sounds pretty good for a 4 cylinder. For me I was looking for the quad look. It’s nothing like your 4 cylinder sti boxer sound which to me is a nice aggressive mean sound.

The Tanabe is also an alternative to the Apexi.

i heard the exhaust note of the tanabe and the apexi sounded more my style. im just really wanting to see a video of the cabin noise of the apexi or the tanabe and hear it while driving. all the videos show the car at idle and just revving the engine.

from what I heard on youtube, there is no difference on sound with the Tanabe. The apexi catback is very loud a SUV if your car is stock.

You better go like I did, muffler delete and than downpipe for gains and a deeper sound.

so I got the catback, I will be posting video clips within the next couple of days but for a teaser -

its much louder than stock, max db 89, but it stays anywhere from 65-80 depending on RPM. it drones lower than 1800, but the sweet spot imo is around 2000 - 2300, if you are cruising or highway speed there is no drone at all. its loud as hell on cold start, but overall I think it has gotten quieter as time has gone on. I have about 500 miles on it so far and the sound difference is noticeable.
