Default Disable Weather Alerts

I found a post on how to disable those annoying weather alerts on older models, but the 2018 enform has a different menu. Is there a way to disable those alerts on the 2018 model? I went through all setting multiple times and can't seem to find any options about weather.

I too am looking for an answer to this question. I asked the tech guy at my Lexus and he had no clue. Anyone else figure this out yet?

I think that I figured this out.
Go to the Lexus Enform app on your phone
Go to Catalog
Disable the weather app
Viola!
This seems to have worked for me.

I sat with the tech guy at my dealer and he had no clue.
I stumbled onto this myself.

I hope it works for you.

Good luck!

But how will you know there will be severe weather if your Lexus can't remind you every 5 minutes lol. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't remind me 5 times during my 2 hour daily trip or days after the storm passed.

So bad news, with today's rain storm on the East Coast, I was notified 5 times within 10 min about a flood warning. Nothing more frustrating than not being able to see through the windshield because of the strong rain and the car constantly yelling at you there's a flood warning. Guess removing weather from enform app doesn't work.

Default Oh well

Here is the response from the tech guy at Lexus today:

I have researched your concern about the weather alerts. As I suspected they can not be turned off. The weather system is provided by The Weather Channel. They control the data that is received by our vehicles. We can’t change any settings in regards to that system. I’m sorry.

Lexus needs to fix this issue. I agree with the other owners that this is a dangerous and annoying issue.

Because I have nothing better to do other than look at weather maps while driving in storms... Thanks for looking into this! Gonna see if I can make a complaint with Lexus and if they will bother to care about it.

So I called Lexus on the issue and apparently they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix, but for now there's a work around. She told me if on days the weather is bad and it's ridiculously annoying like I mentioned in the flood post above you can turn off HD radio and the alerts will stop. Unfortunately traffic will also stop, but you can turn it back on once the storm passes.

I’m getting the alerts when the weather is perfectly dry and sunny out, extremely annoying!

Since I called Lexus almost 2 years ago, I haven't received a notification once not really sure why, but i'm happy.
