Intermittent Electrical Issue
First really rainy day in CA, so not sure if it has something to do with the issue I'm experiencing or a coincidence. This morning, the parking assist came on while in traffic, which has never happened before. After work, she wouldn't open, except for the rear hatch. When I pressed the remote it would make clicking sounds. I used the manual key and got the passenger door open and crawled over to the driver's seat (following instructions from Lexus Care rep). She started up and seemed to respond normally. Got home, switched out the remote battery and tried again. The car would unlock but not lock. Started her up again and it seemed to reset and all is normal for now. I have a 30K check this Friday, but was wondering if anyone else has had this type of electrical gremlin.
The doors may unlock if a large amount
of water splashes on the door handle,
such as in the rain or in a car wash when
the electronic key is within the effective
range. (The door will automatically be
locked after approximately 60 seconds
the doors are not opened and closed.)

If the door handle becomes wet while the

repeatedly. In that case, follow the follow-

Final update (hopefully). I had the above conditions occur in clear/dry conditions, whereupon all doors except the driver's door would open. I once again crawled over the console to start it up. I went through a few open/closing cycles and it seemed resolved. I then drove home and couldn't get the driver's door to lock despite several cycles of starting and shutting off the car. I video recorded the condition, but fortunately (in this case), it persisted and the dealership took me in on a Saturday AM without an appointment. Long story short, the actuator had failed and was replaced. I learned that this is a very rare condition and in my hometown dealership, Valley Lexus, was a first. Valley Lexus was awesome, by the way. They run a skeleton crew on Saturdays and I appreciated them getting me in and out in less than 90 minutes. Great customer service.
