Default Merry White Christmas

I had a chance to snow play for the 1st time in my wife's '17 NX AWD

Very competent, slip spin catch a little delayed at first blush but once I did it a few times it performed exceptionally well. No doubt there is ABS married to the stock Michelins were just exceptional. I locked the differential for the heavy stuff and it's similar to my 4Runner but a little "quicker" on and off.

Have a great Christmas.

Bet you wouldn't be able to do this on Dec 25th in Saudi Arabia where Jesus was born! Or perhaps you could do this in sand, rather than snow?
I always chuckle at our "western" interpretation of a "white Christmas" which is sooooo far away from reality!
Nevertheless, have a great Christmas.

A couple more. What a great touring vehicle. I may have to steal it from my DW more often.

The NX did great here in Toronto over Christmas with about 15-20 cms of snow on the roads.

This vehicle does very well in the winter. I have handled some tough highways with my Michelin X Ice on. Have been looking to make a change recently but when I look at the handling and amenities of this vehicle for the price, tough to find much to move me.

How did you lock the differential? Is this something that was added after the 2015 was built? Thanks.

There is diff lock left and lower than the steering wheel in the cluster with the steering wheel heater. It is identical to my 4Runner but it is much smoother engaging and disengaging than my 4Runner.
Works well in deep powder to get all 4 wheels moving in the same rotation. When locked it disengages the LSD and gives the driver more control over throttle and braking.

I've used it twice now when heading to ski on Mt. Hood and Mt. Bachelor, and have been impressed with the results.

The majority of our "snow trips" are still with the Audi Quattro, but I am now confident the NX with the differential locked will get us to our destinations!

Oh, and the heated steering wheel....how did we do without that all these years??

The heated steering wheel is the feature I love the most I think in my NX.
