Default 2016 NX and Google Pixel 2

Has anyone purchased a Pixel 2? If so is it compatible with the NX to the same extent as Siri Eyes Free???

As far as I know the Siri eyes free only works with the iPhone and iPad. If the pixel 2 has Bluetooth and I’m sure it does, it will transfer contacts and music to be displayed on the lcd.

Appreciate the answer. I am aware of the Bluetooth capabilities what I'm interested in is knowing if there is a Google/Android equivalent to Apple's "Siri Eyes Free".

There is an equivalent but only for CY10 systems. So for the NX that means a 2018 NX gets the Google & Apple "Eyes Free".

Sorry. Basically means Generation 10 systems. The 10th version. Which is currently in the 2018 LC, NX, RC & LS.

It says on the bottom "Add Vehicle Signature to Outgoing Messages" so what type of outgoing messages does this refer to?
Wanted to revive this thread just to ask one more question regarding the Pixel 2.

My wife drives a '15 RC F Sport and she has a Samsung phone. When I send her a text in the car it displays "Read" and upon highlighting and clicking on the icon the car reads it back aloud.

My question is for a google phone can you use one of the steering wheel controls to tell the phone/system that you want to send a text message?

On my NX I use the "off hook" button to tell Siri I want to send a text message.

I have a 18 NX with Google Pixel 2. I text and read text messages no problem with the system. Only issue is google devices have the google assistant, which isn't as compatible as siri. You can still text by saying text so and the message, but it's not linked to the assistant. However, on the bright side google assistant is activated on the phone by saying hey google or okay google and it works fine.

How do you text? Do you push a button in the vehicle or phone or do you just not use the Lexus system and say "OK Google".

Either way works, even for example someone texts me, I press read and then I press reply and it send the reply through the car.

I wonder if that's the case on a '16 as I'm told the infotainment system changed for '18.

Can anyone else let me know if you have had a similar experience on a '15 or '16 MY.
